Low Calorie Diet Myths in Weight Loss

Low Calorie Diet Myths in Weight Loss
Most of the time people don't understand the actual meaning of the word "low-calorie diet".

They interpret instantly that, dieting to low calorie diets means totally cutting out their most favorite foods from their daily meal plans.

This type of confusion arises due to some diet specialists who make it appear that you can't slim down until you give up your favorite foods and start following their diet plans by buying their products. Unfortunately their yucky soups in the low-calorie diet plans make your efforts go in the sink.

In reality the advertised low calorie diet plans make it slower for you to lose weight rather than help you to succeed on your hard effort.

Causes: why you gain more fat instead of losing them:

While you eliminate certain favorites, you put up with extreme cravings and end up eating double of the original amount.

The result is that the yo-yo dieting messes up your metabolism and leaves you even more out of shape than before.

The so-called fancy low calorie diet often appears to be working because there is rapid weight loss occur which make you thinking that the plan is working. In truth you don't actually lose any fat.

That happens because at this point you actually lose water weight from your body. When you cut your food instantly, your body used up the limited store of glycogen, a form of carbohydrate which stored in the muscle to fill the gap of energy which have been created by your low -calorie food regimen. With the glycogen your body loses water so it looks like you have lost weight very quickly just after a few days.

But in reality you don't lose any fat but you lose your muscle.

It has seen that low calorie diets make dieters frustrated and brings on food cravings. Then they eat double than usual which mess up their metabolism and gain more fat than before.

So the solution:

Don't take part on the rat race to look beautiful overnight.

The best way to get down to your healthy weight is to do it slowly. A balanced diet and moderate regular exercise will gently get you on your way, and keep the weight off for ever and without losing any muscle.

Remember to lose weight you need muscle because muscle burns more calorie that fat.

An easier and healthier effective super start is trying to break the sugar/salt habit first and then cutting back calorie intake a little bit at a time with as little as 10 minutes regular exercise per day.

Balanced diet includes lean proteins, fruits, vegetables, whole grains and good fats like olive oil and nuts.

Conclusion: Weight loss is all about "calorie deficit".

In order to lose weight, you have to create a calorie deficit.

A calorie deficit creates when the amount of food (calories) you consume is less than the total calories your body use or burn for energy.
